Most solar-powered battery packs are pretty small, designed for charging iPods, digital cameras, and mobile phones. The XPower Portable Solar Powerpack packs a punch as it’s able to supply 400 Watts of power at either 12V or 120V AC.
The power pack has a 10Ah AGM battery internally, which can be charged with the built-in 5W solar panel, from a vehicle, or via conventional domestic mains power. The 3-digit monitoring display indicates when the battery needs to be charged too. Using the solar panel, the run time of a fully charged power pack can be increased by up to 25%.
Unfortunately, the measly 5W solar panel would mean it’d take days to fully charge the power pack by solar power alone.
